Join us for a special edition of the World Press Photo Exhibition in the garden of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands December 9-11.
“Iconic Images” gathers award-winning photographs of the World Press Photo contest in the past decade. The exhibition examines the power and impact of these award-winning photographs on our understanding of the world.
It will connect you to the stories that matter, while promoting press freedom. Thanks to the photographers who have documented these moments throughout time, these images reflect on our global history.
This exhibition coincides with the World Press Freedom Conference 2020, which is organized virtually this year by the Netherlands and UNESCO on December 9 and 10. The exhibition also celebrates Human Rights Day, December 10.
Please be aware of the measures we are taking to help us all stay healthy and safe during the pandemic. We are asking guests to book a time online to limit the number of visitors in the exhibit at one time. We will check guests’ temperatures with a digital thermometer upon arrival and require guests to wear face masks while on embassy grounds. We also practice social distancing, so please maintain 6 feet away from others, and don’t shake hand with others.
Given the nature of the exhibit, some photos might be considered too graphic for some people.
To enter, RSVP confirmation and photo ID are required. You can book your time slot here.
