Being an innovation nation, the Dutch are always on the lookout for new collaborations and developments in the field of infrastructure, mobility, and urban planning. The first virtual mission exemplifies this, building on a partnership of entrepreneurs, organizations, and governmental agencies in smart and e-mobility from the Netherlands and the US.
Experts and business frontrunners are supporting this trade mission. Tech company Brainport is leading in the field of technology and inventive solutions, and is a Dutch partner in this mission. The organization Noord-Holland is also from the Netherlands, representing all that the Northwest of the country – and also the capital – have to offer.
The Zero Emission Vehicle Alliance is our American partner, as well as the state of California, which are helping to connect a vast West Coast business network on mobility to relevant Dutch corporations. For an overview of all participating organizations, click here.
The virtual mission is an initiative of the Consulate General in San Francisco. The consulate fosters international ties and trade between the US West Coast and the Netherlands, bringing together the best of both worlds as organizer of this mission.
The consulate is supported in its mission work by the Holland Innovation Network, the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, and the Embassy in Washington, D.C. The mission’s preparation program is supported by the Holland in the Valley network.
The trade mission is organized in collaboration with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, which brings Dutch entrepreneurship and urban planning to the mission table. Dutch cities are also co-organizers.
Forth is an important American partner in the virtual mission. As organizer of the annual Electric Vehicle Symposium (EVS), Forth is not only a leader in electric and innovative mobility, but is also an important connector facilitating international networks within the field.
Because of the cancellation of EVS33 due to COVID-19 and the enthusiasm and interest among the Dutch delegation, Forth will host a series of webinars around which the mission is built, replacing the original Roadmap to Portland Oregon with virtual sessions.
