The embassy will host the US pre-premiere of the award-winning Dutch documentary, “DOWN to EARTH: A journey in Search of the Keepers of the Earth” at 6:30 p.m. EDT September 30.

The documentary premiered at the UN Global Summit in Paris and became the longest running documentary in Dutch cinemas.

Leaving behind city life, a Dutch couple (Renata Heinen and Rolf Winters) together with their three young children, embark on the journey of a lifetime. They travel the ends of the Earth searching for a new perspective on life.

They gain access to tribal sages never filmed or interviewed before, without a crew or schedule. They carried just one backpack and one camera each, along with their curiosity to listen. DOWN to EARTH reveals the deep wisdom they found and its power to transform lives.

The virtual screening is youth-friendly (age 10 and older) and free of charge.

The screening will start with an introduction by Daphne Laan (MD) of the Down to Earth Collective. After the film there will be a Q&A with Sahil Gill (Film Editor) and Rolf Winters (Film maker).

Main language: English.
