We commemorated the end of World War II and celebrated 75 years of freedom in 2019 and 2020. We reflected on how our allies, including many Americans, made great sacrifices to liberate us from Nazi occupation. We expressed our eternal gratitude and celebrated the fact that, since 1945, we have been living again in freedom. We also realize that we all share the responsibility of passing on that freedom to future generations.
We planned several events to celebrate our freedom, and remind us all that freedom is not free.
